• We’re so glad you’re considering Desert Clarity Mind and Wellness for your mental health needs. Whether you're looking for therapy for yourself, your relationship, or support with a specific challenge, we’re here to help you on your journey. Here's everything you need to know to get started:

    1. Schedule Your First Appointment

To begin, simply reach out to us via our Contact Us link, or use the Headway portal to check insurance eligibility and schedule an appointment online. If you prefer to speak with someone directly to get started, don’t hesitate to call or email us!

    2. Review Our Policies and Payment Options

Please take a moment to review our Rates, Payment Options, and Insurance Information. If you’re not using insurance, you can request a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before your first session.

    3. Complete Your Intake Forms

Once you’ve scheduled your appointment, we’ll send you a secure link to complete your intake forms online. These forms are necessary for us to gather some basic information about you and your goals for therapy. Completing them ahead of your appointment will allow us to dive right into the work during your first session. If these forms are not completed at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment, we will have to cancel the appointment and reschedule for a later date, once completed.

    4. Prepare for Your Session

Take a moment to think about your goals for therapy. What brought you here today? What would you like to work on or change? The more you can share, the better we can support you.

    • Please ensure you have a quiet, comfortable space where you can focus and speak openly.

    5. Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens, and sometimes schedules need to change. We kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full cost of the scheduled service.

  • At Desert Clarity Mind and Wellness, we are committed to making mental health care more accessible, flexible, and comfortable for you. We offer virtual therapy sessions so that you can prioritize your mental wellness from a location that feels natural and safe for you — whether that’s home, your office, or another private space.

    Benefits of Virtual Therapy

    • Flexibility to schedule sessions that fit your lifestyle

    • No travel time or commute — making therapy more time-efficient

    • Ability to connect from a space where you feel most at ease

    • Expanded access to care, especially in areas with limited in-person options

    What You’ll Need

    • A stable internet connection

    • A device with video and audio (computer, tablet, or smartphone)

    • A quiet, private space where you can speak freely

    • We use HIPAA-compliant, secure video platforms to protect your privacy

    Limitations and Potential Risks

While virtual therapy offers many advantages, it's important to be aware of a few limitations and risks:

    • Technology Interruptions: Internet connectivity issues or technical glitches may disrupt a session or effect communication. We’ll work with you to reschedule or continue if this happens.

    • Privacy Considerations: While we take every measure to protect your confidentiality, it’s also important for you to ensure that your environment is private and free of interruptions during sessions.

    • Crisis Support: Please note that virtual therapy is not intended for use during mental health emergencies or crises requiring immediate, in-person intervention. If you are in crisis or feel at risk of harm to yourself or others, do not wait for a therapy session—call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For non-urgent concerns, you can visit our Resources page for additional support options.

We’ll discuss these considerations with you prior to beginning services, and we’re always happy to answer questions or help you create a setup that works best for you.

  • Your privacy and confidentiality are our top priorities. We understand that seeking mental health support requires trust, and we are dedicated to ensuring that you feel safe sharing your thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences with us.

    • Confidentiality:
All information shared in therapy is confidential. We adhere to the highest ethical and legal standards of confidentiality, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This means that:

      • Your personal and health information is kept private and only used for the purposes of your treatment.

      • We do not share any of your information with others without your explicit consent, except in certain situations required by law (such as imminent danger to yourself or others, or if we are legally required to report it).

    • Secure Communication:
We use secure, encrypted platforms for both virtual sessions and communication (such as emails or messages) to protect your privacy. Once a client, any written or electronic communication between you and your provider is kept secure in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

    • Your Rights:
You have the right to access your treatment records and request changes to them. If you have any questions about how your information is handled or if you would like to discuss any concerns, please feel free to ask.

We want you to feel fully informed and comfortable with the level of privacy and confidentiality in place throughout your treatment. If you ever have any questions regarding confidentiality or your privacy, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Your trust is essential to the work we do together.
